Spirit Word (spiritword.co.za and the Spirit Word app) is run by Alethinos Upliftment and Empowerment. We share teachings freely and collect as little as possible.
What we don’t collect
There are no user accounts, no advertising and no tracking cookies. We don’t ask for your name, email address or location, and we don’t sell or share personal information.
Anonymous visit statistics (website only)
On the website we count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, to see which pages and teachings are used and from which countries and types of device. It uses no cookies, doesn’t identify you and doesn’t follow you across other websites. The Spirit Word app sends no statistics.
Notifications (app only)
If you allow notifications, your device is subscribed anonymously to “new teaching” announcements through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (and Apple Push Notification service on iPhone). We don’t store your device token or link it to you. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone’s settings.
Services that deliver the content
Like any website, the services that host and stream the teachings process technical data such as your IP address and device type in order to deliver pages, video and audio to you: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (teaching catalogue) and Bunny.net (video, audio and files). Scripture links open Bible.com (YouVersion), which has its own privacy policy.
On your device
The site may store small preferences on your device (for example to work offline). Nothing stored there is sent to us.
